Commission a Painting
Here are some hints on the best type of photographs and some examples of previous work.
A photograph can be sent to me in jpeg format (not reduced if possible). Please contact me if you have any queries or special requests.
Its important that if you send a photograph it should be clear and show the subject without too many shadows.
Please avoid using a ‘flash’ if possible
Pets - It’s best to take the photograph out doors on a nice day, try and get on the same level as your pet and out of shadows, a couple of different angles would make it easier to see your pet in all their glory.
People - Lighting again is important, though its quite nice to have some shadows to add character to the composition.
Scenes - Any clear photograph would be acceptable.

Hoolie
The photo of Hoolie was taken on a fairly bright but not sunny winters day. The painting is a watercolour.
Imagine
The photograph is of the customers little girl dressing up. Although the photograph was taken inside there is plenty of light coming from the left side which gives an interesting effect.
Rooks under Win Green (Dorset)
The two photogrphs were taken at different times at the same location. The finished acrylic on canvas painting is a combination of the two.
